BMW SSS/Progman Base 3.1 Vmware Disk | 1.08G
Having to go through all the tedious steps required to install BMW SSS/Progman xx.x in a vmware environment I decided the best option was : carefully install the base dvd in a vmware client, perform all the necessary modifications to the XPe environment (basically follow all the instructions in bmwecu.org’s guide + a few more tricks to make my life easier like allow right clicks, install a text editor, install most device drivers so xp don’t complain each time etc) and then save the vmware hard disk image just a tad before instprg kicks in so I can use it in future installations.
Works like a charm
Just create a new vmware machine (1024 MB of ram) with an IDE hard disk and when prompted choose to use this disk instead of creating a new one.
After the machine boots you will be faced with the familiar instprg prompt: Insert 1st Progman DVD etc.
I have tested it with Progman v28, v31, v32 and it works
